Simon Akeroyd joined Amadeus Asia, based in Bangkok, at the beginning of 2005. Prior to moving to the Regional Asia Pacific Head Office, Simon lived and worked in Nice, France. Beginning his career in Amadeus (France) in 1992, Simon worked in various roles within Finance and Management Accounting ranging from financial planning to valuation of intangible assets. After 8 years, he went on to create his own business focused on Management Consultancy and Private Equity in the IT & Telecom sector. It was this consultancy role that eventually led him back to Amadeus several years later. Simon's current role encompasses developing and implementing strategies to expand Amadeus' customer portfolio and geographic scope in Asia Pacific; predominantly through Joint Venture and partnership initiatives in China, Korea and Japan. Simon holds a BA Honours degree in International Business, speaks fluent French and currently lives in Thailand. |
