From 2003 to 2008, as Managing Director for Orbitz Worldwide, Allen led the recruitment and development of hotel account management teams in North America, Asia and Europe. He played a pivotal role in defining Orbitz hotel strategy for North America and most recently for the integration of the global hotel account management teams. In 2008, Allen relocated to Hong Kong to oversee Orbitz hotel strategy and recruit and train teams based in Beijing, Shanghai, Singapore, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Tokyo, Taipei and Seoul. In 2008, Allen’s teams in Asia and North America were responsible for over 50% of Orbitz hotel income.

Allen is a respected hospitality industry leader, and has held positions as General Manager, Director of Marketing, Regional Director, and Managing Director for leading hospitality companies such as Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Kimpton Hotels, Orbitz Worldwide, and WorldRes.

Allen lives in San Francisco and authors college courses and teaches hospitality management at the University of San Francisco. He has a BA in Education from Colgate University and an MBA from Golden Gate University.
