China Travel Innovation Challenge (CTIC) is another innovative competition initiated by TravelDaily China, after the inauguration of THack China and China Hotel Innovative Marketing Award in previous TravelDaily events. The final of the CTIC competition will be held in the afternoon of September 1st, the second day of the 2016 TravelDaily Conference.
Six to eight finalists will be selected from amongst the entries of international or domestic companies to vie for the China Travel Innovation Award. The finalists will demonstrate their innovative products to a panel of esteemed judges and an audience of more than 1,300 senior executives in the travel sector.
The CTIC competition welcomes applications from teams of listed companies or startups that meet the following requirements (Please note that all applications will be vetted by TravelDaily analysts based on the uniqueness of the underlying technological innovation. The event is not a commercial roadshow, nor a novelty show or story-telling event):
The nominated products are inaugurated after July 1, 2015.
The nominated products are compatible with PC, mobile, wearable or VR/AR devices.
The nominated products are designed to improve travel booking experience and travel experience for travelers, or improve management efficiency and conversion rate for travel companies.
A chance to present your product and brand to more than 1,300 industry professionals.
Extensive media coverage by TravelDaily and our media partners.
One complimentary ticket to access the entire event, including conference sessions, demonstrations and exhibitions, as well as all meals and social functions.
For startups, access to sources of seed funding to launch your business.
Receive valuable and constructive feedback directly from industry gurus, and top investors who know what it takes to build, run and grow a successful business.
A chance to compete for the China Travel Innovation Award.
The panel of judges will assess the nominated products by five criteria, including product value, user experience, technological innovativeness, business model and potential business value. No fees will be charged in the whole process.
Each finalist will be given eight minutes to present and demonstrate their product and three minutes to answer judges’ questions.

The judging panel may include product directors and IT directors from renowned public companies and leading enterprises, directors of consultant institutions and partners of VC (venture capital) companies. The final list of the judging panel will be released after the finalists’ confirmation on August 5, to avoid potential conflict of interest.
