Mr. James Tang is the Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing of Ctrip. Prior to joining Ctrip, Mr. Tang had worked as Product Manager for American Machine and Foundry (AMF), Marketing Manager for YUE-SAI Kan-Coty Cosmetics Co., Ltd. and Marketing Director for Perfetti Van Melle Confectionery (China) Co., Ltd. The diversity of his marketing experience across an impressive range of industries has helped him introduce innovative new business operation models and marketing concepts at Ctrip, especially in the area of new product planning and promotion, where his creative approach has proven particularly successful.

Since joining Ctrip in 2005, Mr. Tang has put major emphasis on creative, cooperative and service-oriented marketing models. Under his leadership, Ctrip's marketing group has made great strides within the industry in new concept and product development. In addition, he took an active lead in designing and implementing precision online and offline marketing strategies, making Ctrip's hallmark "lean service" model the modern travel service industry's standard of excellence.

Mr. Tang earned a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Foreign Trade from Shanghai Jiaotong University and a Master's degree in Economics from Virginia Commonwealth University in the United States.
