George, based in Hong Kong, has been a member of the APAC management team since 2005, joining as the Marketing Director Asia Pacific. Since 2008 George has held various responsibilities including management of owned operations in Taiwan, China, Hong Kong and Philippines, APAC Partner Marketing business unit and responsibility for Asian NDC (Distribution Partner) markets. Since 2011 George has been actively involved in exploring commercial opportunities in China and since the start of 2013 has moved into his new role as Managing Director China, part of the Travelport’s Emerging Markets business unit. He also continues to manage the Distribution Partner in Japan. In the most recent role prior to joining Travelport, George served as Product and Strategic Marketing Director, Asia Netcom (now known as Pacnet). George holds qualifications in both engineering and marketing from the University of Technology, Sydney, and business administration from Henley Management College.
