Lucas Peng is a founding member of the HSMAI Asia Pacific. He is also the Co-owner and Managing Director of IFH Asia Ltd. in Hong Kong and IFH Asia Pacific Pte Ltd in Singapore. IFH, founded in 1989 in Frankfurt, Germany specializes in the design, development and delivery of training workshops, on-line learning, quality performance benchmarking and mystery call⁄shop service especially for the hospitality industry.
Lucas′career spans 25 years of industry experience in hotel marketing and central reservations systems technology as well as call centre operations. His previous positions included senior sales & marketing roles with Hyatt Regency Singapore and Shangri-La Singapore. He held several key positions during his 11 years career with Utell International, the leading hotel representation company, from General Manager of the regional centers in North Asia and Japan⁄Korea to Director of Operations for Asia Pacific. Following Utell’s acquisition by Pegasus Solutions, he was promoted to Vice President - Asia Pacific, overseeing the entire operations for the region.
Lucas is also a Registered Coordinator for the COPC®-2000 Standard for Call Center Operations. He is a well-known personality in the hospitality industry in the region and has been invited to speak and also as a panelist at several established regional forums and conferences, including Hotel Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) Asia ConnectConference 2006 & 2007 and WIRED Travel Asia 2006. He was the principal trainer in Asia Pacific for Hotel Electronic Distribution Network Association (HEDNA) University programs on Electronic Distribution and Revenue Management from 2003-2005. In 2008-2009, he served as a board member of HSMAI-Hong Kong ⁄ Macau Chapter.
