Mr. Guo joined Ctrip as Senior Vice President in 2008. As the CEO of the Vacation Department, he is responsible for the management and development of Ctrip’s package vacation business. He also serves as General Manager for North China, focusing on operation and management of Ctrip’s branch companies in North and Northeast China.
Mr. Guo is also the Vice President of the China Association of Travel Services and a special researcher for the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences’ Tourism Research Institute. He serves on the board of both Bohai Ferry Co., Ltd. and Shaanxi Tourism Co., Ltd. as an independent director.
Prior to joining Ctrip, Mr. Guo spent 20 years working in the travel industry. In 1988, he began working at Beijing Youth Travel Service Co., Ltd., where he spent ten years developing his knowledge and management skills. He then became the President of China Comfort Travel Group Co. in 1998 and was responsible for managing all aspects of the business. In 2007, Mr. Guo was appointed the General Manager of Marketing by the Beijing Tourism Group.
With his ample experience and profound insight into the industry, Mr. Guo has made remarkable contributions to the development of the Chinese travel industry as a whole.
Mr. Guo graduated from Peking University in 1988 and studied Chinese Center for Economic Research (now the "National Institute of Development"), Peking International EMBA program in 2002-2004.
